I make my living making sure you are completely satisfied with the software you purchase.
Adobe published the Plug-in Software Development Kit (SDK) for Illustrator 5 in about 1995. I was working in packaging prepress at the time and there were so many things that we needed Illustrator to do - that it was capable of doing - but just never seemed to make it into the final release. Plug-ins seemed to offer a solution. I was hooked.
Adobe is as responsive to user requests as any big software publisher can be, but they have a very diverse customer base. They can’t really include everything everyone asks for without bloating their software to the point of unusability. That's the beauty of plug-ins and the SDK. I get to make a living adding the stuff that would be unprofitable for Adobe and you get to customize Illustrator in a way that works best for you.
Your suggestions, questions and comments are essential to this process. Are there repetitive steps in your workflow that may benefit from automation? Are there time consuming tasks that might be better handled by Illustrator if the tool was available? I encourage you to think about your process and contact me with any questions or special requests you may have. We may be able to find a software solution for your particular problem.

So, why the goofy name?

Long ago, I worked in one of those prepress sweatshops that would work people 16 hours a day when it was busy and then would happily send people home without pay on days when it was slow. I did not like being treated like a sometimes useful but ultimately disposable cog in a machine. So, as sort of a joke, I gave everyone a number and called them that instead of their name. I was not always popular with the management.

My self assigned name/number was worker 72a. I just made it up. I started using it as my screen name and it kinda stuck. Now, on my own, I could foresee lots of 16 hour days and lots of days without pay and I thought -Well, that’s progress! Worker 72a I was and worker 72a I remain. - Probably not the best name from a marketing standpoint but I thought it was funny and, like Exxon or Kleenex or Adobe, it’s not the name but how often it’s used that matters. Right?
